How KANGAZ Underwear uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you control optional analytics and marketing technologies.
This notice explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on the KANGAZ website, what each one does, and how you control the optional ones.
The KANGAZ website is operated by Kangaroo Underwear PTY LTD, trading as KANGAZ Underwear (ABN 59 605 880 484).
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small piece of information a website asks your browser to keep, so the site can remember something between pages or visits.
Websites can also keep information in your browser's local storage (kept until you clear it) or session storage (cleared when you close the browser tab). These are not cookies, but they work in a similar way, so we describe them here too.
Why KANGAZ uses them
We use them to make the store work — keeping your cart, keeping you signed in and remembering your cookie choices. With your permission, we also use one Marketing cookie to credit KANGAZ partners who refer you to us.
We do not currently use third-party analytics tools, advertising pixels or social-media tracking on this website. If you choose to allow Analytics, KANGAZ's own systems record basic website-use events to help us understand how the website is used.
Necessary technologies
These are needed for the website and your shopping to work. They are always on and are not used for advertising.
- Shopping cart — remembers the items in your cart.
- Cart session — a cart reference so your cart can be saved and restored.
- Wishlist — remembers products you have saved.
- Sign-in — keeps you signed in to your KANGAZ account.
- Cookie choices — remembers the choices you make in this notice's preference controls.
- Visit reference — a random reference for your current visit, cleared when you close the tab.
- Personalisation draft — keeps waistband text you are working on while you shop, cleared when you close the tab.
- Review votes — a random reference so each browser can only vote once on whether a review was helpful.
- Page position — remembers where you were on a page when you go back.
Analytics
Analytics technologies help a business understand how its website is used.
KANGAZ does not currently use a third-party analytics platform or third-party analytics scripts. If you turn Analytics on, KANGAZ's own systems record basic website-use events, such as pages and products viewed, searches, cart activity and checkout steps, against a visit reference. This helps us understand how the website is used. If you leave Analytics off, these optional browser analytics events are not recorded.
This optional browser analytics is separate from operational records KANGAZ creates when running the store, such as records relating to orders, payments, refunds, returns and abandoned carts.
Marketing
Checkout email (Marketing) — only if you accept Marketing, temporarily keeps the email address you type at checkout with your cart so that, if you have also agreed to receive marketing emails, KANGAZ can send an abandoned-cart reminder. Checkout works without it. The browser copy is removed after a paid order, when you clear your cart, or when you withdraw Marketing consent.
Marketing is off unless you turn it on.
KANGAZ does not currently use advertising pixels, advertising tags or behavioural advertising. The only Marketing technology on this website is partner/referral attribution, described below.
Partner and referral attribution
KANGAZ works with partners who share links to our store. When you follow a partner link and you have accepted Marketing, we store a cookie called kz_aff for 30 days so that if you place an order, the right partner can be credited.
- kz_aff contains only a signed reference to the partner link visit. It does not contain your name, email, payment details or other direct personal details.
- If you have not made a choice, or you have rejected Marketing, kz_aff is not created.
- Partner links still take you to the store either way. You can still shop and check out normally.
- Partner discount codes work separately and do not need this cookie.
If you have not accepted Marketing, a partner link visit may still be counted, but only anonymously. It is not linked to you or your browser, and no cookie is stored.
If you have accepted Marketing, the partner link visit may be recorded with the extra detail needed for 30-day attribution. KANGAZ does not store your raw IP address or raw browser details for this. After you accept Marketing, a one-way technical code created from technical request details may be stored to help avoid counting repeat partner visits more than once.

Your choices
You can choose Necessary only, accept all optional technologies, or manage Analytics and Marketing separately using Cookie preferences. Necessary technologies are always on.
Optional technologies are not required to use the KANGAZ store. If you reject them, you can still browse products, use your cart, sign in, check out and place orders. Rejecting Marketing only means partner visits are not remembered for attribution.
Changing or withdrawing your choices
You can change your choices at any time using Cookie preferences at the bottom of every page.
When you save or change your cookie preferences, KANGAZ keeps a record of that choice, including the time, the version of this notice and whether Analytics and Marketing were allowed. Later changes or withdrawals are recorded as new entries.
If you withdraw Marketing, we stop future Marketing tracking and remove the kz_aff cookie from your browser if it is there.
Withdrawing consent does not delete order or transaction records that KANGAZ is required or entitled to keep, including a partner credit already recorded for a past order.
You can also delete cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. If you delete Necessary items, your cart, sign-in and choices may be lost.
Third-party services
No third-party analytics, advertising or social-media tracking technologies are placed through this website.
Our website loads Barlow Condensed and Inter fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these font files, it connects to Google's font services and standard technical request information may be sent as part of that connection. KANGAZ does not use Google Fonts for analytics or advertising.
The Instagram, Facebook and TikTok icons at the bottom of the page are ordinary links. They do not place tracking cookies while you are on the KANGAZ website. Once you visit those sites, their own cookie and privacy notices apply.
When you pay, the payment form is provided by our payment provider, which may use its own technologies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. Its own terms and privacy notice apply.

Changes to this notice
