Please read this policy together with our Terms of Sale, Personalisation Terms and Cookie & Consent Notice.
2. Information we collect

Contact and account information
- your first and last name
- email address
- phone number
- saved delivery and billing addresses
- your sign-in details (your password is stored in a scrambled form that we cannot read)
- your communication preferences
Order and checkout information

- any discount code or partner (referral) code used

Personalisation information
If you order a personalised product, we keep the text you entered, the font you chose and the related product options. Personalisation is intended for names, initials and short messages; please do not include sensitive information in it.
Cart information
Your cart contents, and your email address if you enter it during checkout, may be linked to your cart so it can be kept and completed later.
Returns
If you make a return, we keep your return reason, any comments you provide, our inspection notes and any refund details.
Reviews and questions
If you leave a review or ask a question, we may collect your rating, review title and text, the display name and location you choose to show, your contact email, any photos or videos you upload, your questions and our answers, and whether your review is linked to a verified purchase.
Partner program
If you join our partner program, we collect your name, email address, country, partner code, payout details, and records of your referral link visits, referred orders and commissions.
Newsletter and marketing
If you subscribe to marketing emails, we keep your email address, your marketing preference, where and when you gave consent, the version of this Privacy Policy that applied at the time, your consent history, and any unsubscribe or delivery-block status.
Website activity and analytics information
If you choose to allow Analytics in our cookie preferences, we may record basic information about how you use our website, such as pages and products viewed, searches, cart activity and checkout steps. This information is recorded in our own systems against a visit reference. We do not record these optional browser analytics events unless you allow Analytics.
3. Information we do not store
We do not receive or store your full payment card number, card expiry date or security code (CVV).
We do not keep your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system or location as part of your customer record.
Some technical information is used briefly to keep the website working safely. For example, your IP address may be used for a short time to prevent abuse of our newsletter sign-up, without being saved. If you have accepted Marketing cookies, a one-way code may be created from technical information so that repeated visits to the same partner link are not counted twice; the underlying IP address and browser details are not stored for that purpose.
4. How we collect information
We collect most information directly from you when you:
- create an account or update your account settings
- enter your details at checkout or place an order
- personalise an eligible product
- subscribe to our newsletter
- contact us by email
- request a return
- submit a review or question
- apply for or take part in our partner program
Our website also creates limited technical and session information automatically where needed for it to work, such as keeping your cart and sign-in active. See section 10 and our Cookie & Consent Notice.
5. Payments
Payments on our website are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. When you pay, you enter your card details directly into Stripe's secure payment form. Your card number, expiry date and security code go to Stripe, not to KANGAZ.
We keep the information needed to manage your order and payment, such as the payment status, amount, payment references, whether a payment failed, and any refund amounts.
Stripe handles payment information under its own privacy policy.
6. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- create and manage your account
- process your orders and payments, and match payments to orders
- make, pack and deliver your products
- produce personalised items
- show your order and account history
- provide customer service
- handle returns and refunds
- run product reviews and questions
- prevent misuse, fraud and security problems
- run our partner program and pay commissions
- keep business, tax and financial records
- send marketing emails where you have agreed to receive them
- meet our legal obligations
We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to these.
7. Personalisation
When you order a personalised product, we keep your personalisation details with your order so we can make the item, fulfil your order, help with any questions, handle returns or disputes, and keep an accurate record of what was ordered. We do not use personalisation details for advertising.
8. Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails, such as news about new arrivals and offers, where you have agreed to receive them. We aim to manage marketing emails in line with applicable Australian electronic marketing requirements, and every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
You can subscribe through the newsletter sign-up at the bottom of our website, at checkout, or in your account settings. You do not need an account to subscribe. The newsletter sign-up is single opt-in: your subscription starts when you submit your email address.
When you subscribe, we record where and when you gave consent and your consent history. Once this Privacy Policy is published, we also record which version applied when you subscribed.
If you unsubscribe, we stop sending you marketing emails. If you later choose to subscribe again, your marketing consent is restored. If an email address cannot receive email (for example, it bounces permanently) or a spam complaint is made, we will not send marketing to it.
Cart reminders are treated as marketing. If you leave items in your cart, we only send a reminder where you have agreed to receive marketing emails. Entering your email address at checkout does not, on its own, mean you have agreed to marketing.
Service emails, such as order confirmations, shipping updates and return updates, are separate from marketing. We send them to help complete your purchase or respond to your request, whatever your marketing choice.
After a purchase, we may invite you to review the products you bought, where permitted by applicable law and your communication preferences.
9. Text messages
Your account includes an optional setting to receive text messages about new arrivals, offers and promotions. It is off unless you turn it on. We do not currently send any text messages, including order updates. If we start sending text messages, we will update this policy first.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar browser storage. Necessary technologies keep things working, such as your cart, wishlist, sign-in, cookie choices, visit session and personalisation drafts.
KANGAZ does not currently use a third-party analytics platform, advertising pixels or behavioural advertising. If you allow Analytics in our cookie preferences, our own systems record basic website-use events to help us understand how the website is used. Analytics is optional and is off unless you turn it on.
Separately, KANGAZ creates operational records needed to run the store, such as records relating to orders, payments, refunds, returns and abandoned carts. These operational records are not controlled by your optional Analytics choice.
The only Marketing technology we use is partner attribution (see section 11). You can accept or reject optional cookies, and change your choice at any time using "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of every page.
For full details, see our Cookie & Consent Notice.
11. Partner and referral attribution
We run a partner program where partners share links to our website. If you arrive through a partner link and have accepted Marketing cookies, we store a first-party cookie (kz_aff) for 30 days so a later order can be credited to that partner.
If you have not accepted Marketing cookies, or you reject them, this cookie is not created. Partner links still take you to our website, and you can shop and check out as normal. If you withdraw Marketing consent, the cookie is removed.
Partner discount codes work separately from this cookie. Partner attribution is not used for behavioural advertising.
12. Who we share information with
We share personal information only where reasonably needed to run our business, with:
- our payment provider, Stripe (see section 5)
- the providers that host our website, database, file storage and sign-in system
- delivery and fulfilment providers, so your order can reach you
- email delivery providers, so we can send you emails
- professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers
- government, legal or regulatory authorities where required or permitted by law
We only share what each provider needs to do its job.
13. We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information.
14. Overseas processing
Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Australia. Our website's backend infrastructure, including our database, authentication and file storage, is hosted in South Korea. Other service providers may process information in other countries depending on the services we use. We take reasonable steps to ensure personal information disclosed overseas is handled appropriately. If you would like more information about overseas processing, please contact us.
15. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- fulfil the purpose it was collected for
- provide our products and services
- keep business and order records
- resolve disputes
- prevent fraud and misuse
- meet legal, accounting, tax and regulatory obligations
When information is no longer reasonably needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it where appropriate and lawful. Some records, such as records of your consent and unsubscribe choices, are kept so we can continue to respect those choices.
16. How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including:
- secure (encrypted HTTPS) connections
- access controls, with staff access limited by role
- sign-in and authentication controls
- secure handling of system credentials
- records of staff activity
- private, access-controlled file storage
- keeping card details with Stripe rather than on our systems
No online system can be completely secure, but we work to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
17. Accessing and correcting your information
If you have an account, you can update your name, phone number, saved addresses and marketing preferences at any time.
To ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct it, email info@kangaz.com.au.
18. Deleting your information
You can ask us to delete your personal information by emailing info@kangaz.com.au. There is currently no self-service option to delete your account.
We will take reasonable steps to action your request. We may need to keep some information where reasonably necessary or required or permitted by law, such as order and transaction records, financial records, records of your consent and unsubscribe choices, and records relating to disputes, fraud or security.
19. Anonymity and pseudonymity
You can browse our website without creating an account, and you can check out as a guest. To complete an order, however, we need the information required to take payment, deliver your order and contact you about it. Some services, such as returns and partner payouts, cannot reasonably be provided anonymously.
20. Children
KANGAZ does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children for marketing purposes.
21. Privacy questions and complaints
For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or complaints, email info@kangaz.com.au. Please give us enough detail to understand your request or concern. We will review it and respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
22. Data breaches
We have processes for responding to suspected privacy or security incidents. If a data breach occurs, we will take the steps required by applicable law.
23. Other websites and social media
Our website links to other websites, including our Instagram, Facebook and TikTok pages. These are plain links. Once you leave our website, the other website's privacy practices apply, and we are not responsible for them.
24. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our information-handling practices, services or providers change, or when legal requirements change. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current policy is available on this page.
